Local lad Pete came to our attention very quickly from doing our events in Hemel Hempstead, he’d steadily built up a solid name and reputation in the area and was already moving onto bigger and better things! He’s jumped on board with us and hasn’t stopped flying since, appearing at Egg, Pacha and Ministry of Sound in 2011 as well as with us at SnowCentre and The Ski & Snowboard Show. He’s back at Ministry Fri Jan 20th so we grabbed a chance to catch up with him and have a chat…
How and when did you first get into music?
I was about 11 years old and David Morales ‘Needin You’ was all over tv at the time and i couldn’t get enough of it… after hearing that tune and seeing the video of Morales
playing in Ibiza, I knew dance music was going to be a big part of my life, and what i wanted to be.
When did you start to DJ?
Well i got my first set of decks shortly after hearing that tune funnily
enough! i started playing at house parties when i was around 15 and got my first set at a bar when i was 17.
Who were your major influences?
I would have to say David Morales inspired me to be a DJ but Erick Morillo influenced me into the fun, uplifting side of house which then brought me into finding tech house.
How would you describe your style?
Fun, Uplifting, Sexy Tech House with a bit of tribal chucked in the mix!
What are you working on/looking forward to?
Well i’m looking forward to getting into production in the future as its
definitely an area I look to get involved in but still very early days… but as far as djing goes im looking forward to the next coming months as i’m playing all over london including EGG and Ministry of Sound, not forgetting all the FBBB events that are taking place next year! Cant wait!
Where can we find out more about you/hear you play?
